Inside the Shop: Our First Blog

Hey there — welcome to the Spruce blog.

I’m Ida Vera — owner of Spruce, your neighborhood coffee shop, bar, and plant shop here in Murray Hill. I live just down the street with my husband Christhian and our baby girl, Flora (you’ve probably seen her hanging out at the shop with me — she’s our tiniest team member).

I’ll be writing these blog posts as a way to share more of what’s happening at Spruce — from seasonal drinks and plant arrivals to upcoming events and the behind-the-scenes of running this space we love so much.

If you’ve been in before, you already know we’re all about good coffee, cozy vibes, and supporting our local community. Whether you’re here for a morning latte, a new plant, a glass of wine, or a workshop night, Spruce is meant to feel like a little pause — a place to connect, recharge, and maybe find something new.
